I almost forgot about this portrait of these two poodly pups!

Some of my works have required things like changing colors, filling in missing pieces, or compositing multiple images into one. This one, for instance, I decided to fill in the rest of the chair that was missing. For me it gives it the feel of an enamel pin I'd put on my backpack.

The series “Hear the Cries, See Injustice, & Speak Your Heart” taps into familiar symbolism to reconvey the state of inequality, as our friends, family, and neighbors experience seeping injustice. I hope the narrative behind the art encourages society to open up their eyes, ears, and mouths for our fellow humans. This series is dedicated to BLM, MMIW, and to the families separated at the border.

Prints will be made available in the near future; proceeds will go to the respective causes.

This series was originally published in Reunion: The Dallas Review
in print and e-pub, as well as online.
